Conduit Court
We all gathered downstairs at the HOP and after introductions Valerie gave us a presentation on her street photography. Then we caught the Underground to Kings Cross St Pancras.
Kings Cross
The light tunnel
The group was split into two and I went back to the light tunnel.
Then back in the station and over into the mezzanine to watch passengers on the platforms below and to grab a sandwich from Waitrose.
Then back on the Underground
West End
Jermyn Street and the two arcades.
We crossed over Piccadilly and entered the Burlington Arcade.
At the end of the Burlington Arcade turning left I went on to Vigo Street.
And this was a plaque that I could not resist recording..
Bond Street
Before the planned evening meal I went down Bond Street close to Piccadilly and watched people passing by the yet to be opened Prada shop. I was standing at the corner of Stafford Street by the Yves Saint Laurent shop. Looking up the street Ronnie Wood (plus bodyguard) went into the shop – no pictures!
Kings Head
We had booked a table for everyone on the workshop at the Kings Head on Stafford Street. We shown upstairs to the upper restaurant. We were the first customers but as the evening progressed every table was filled until late diners were being told that they could not have a table.
We could look down onto the street below.
From Green Park I caught the Underground back to Waterloo at around 7:45 pm.
The next day of the workshop was planned to start outside Charing Cross station.
