On Saturday I had a Smartphone Safari with Jeanette Lendon for Chinatown and Soho. The safari started at 10:30 am and I could have a late start and still have time to visit the Leake Street tunnel.
The Sidings were not very busy a I made my way to Leake Street.

There were a couple of groups decorating the walls and a lot of tourists (like me) taking pictures!
I have a dedicated Street Art feed on Instagram here.
The Sidings
My favourite puddle was there as usual at the entrance to the tunnel.
I was refused entry into the Sidings and the main line station because of a fire alert. At the end of the alley is another entrance and through there I approached a TfL lady who explained the alert was in the Underground Station. The main line station was still open! I could see the escalators in the Sidings and this time I walked through and back up into the main line station. My easy journey to Leicester Square on the Tube had now bec0me a walk over Waterloo Bridge, down the Strand and into Covent Garden.
Covent Garden
Everyone in the main square were occupied by a street performer.
Once past the small crowd I watched a group of girls performing dance for their videographer.
Once in Leicester Square I went into Burger King for lunch. Jeanette and the first members of the safari were already outside.

And then we found a puddle to practise reflections. Jeanette pulled out the LEGO that I had given here before to show everyone reflections without damaging your smartphone. We were joined by a couple who tried their look using the puddle.

A green Ferrari was parked next to the benches as we enjoyed a coffee and did a recap on the safari.

Leaving Waterloo
I had 5 minutes to catch the slow train back to Farnborough. The good news was that my train was going slow enough to see the people in the high swimming pool that links two apartment blocks in Battersea. A first for me!
