I read this blog about Gants Hill Underground station last year. A number of from the camera club arranged to visit and have a look for ourselves.
To get top Gants Hill we took the Jubilee Line to Stratford and then the Central Line. Luckily my colleagues knew which Central Line train to take so that we could go onto the loop that held Gants Hill station.

The central hall is definitely styled after a Soviet era station. The blog was a little misleading as the image shown was clearly a Moscow station after closely examination.
We took pictures from ends of the central hall and I used my fish eye lens too.

Once processed this is my favourite image.

We stayed long enough for two southbound trains to pass and then caught the third back to Liverpool Street. We were in time for the January Colour Walk at Old Spitalfields Market. Before catching the train back to Farnborough a quick trip to Leake Street rounded off our day.
This is a post from the camera club website with other images from the visit.
