Social networking is becoming ever more popular. Overall, 57 % of adult Internet users used online social networks in 2011, up from 43 % in 2010. 91 % of 16-24 year old Internet users now use social networking sites.

I attended Sara Paretsky’s last UK public event on her latest book tour which was held at Sandhurst Public Library. I have been reading about her fictional hero, V.I. Warshawski, since her first book, Indemnity Only, was published in the UK in 1982.

On Monday 17th January 2011 I was invited to The Sky is not the Limit Event hosted by RBS at one of their buildings on Bishopsgate in the City.
What we all now take for granted . . .
This morning I was discussing the next software release for an ongoing project. We were swapping documents and screenshots using a combination of email and Microsoft Live Messenger (aka Instant Messenger). Plus the usual banter about the lousy weather and what happenned over the weekend.
