Place de la Commune-de-Paris
This fountain was donated by Sir William Wallace, an Englishmen who lived in Paris and through the siege during the Franco-Prussian war and the Paris Commune that followed.
We came out and onto a wide road with the Paris Metro elevated in the centre.
We crossed over and decided to take a taxi back to the Rue de Rivoli. After lunch we had a busy afternoon and a great evening meal.
