On the spur of the moment we drove to Hartley Park Farm near Alton in Hampshire. The lavender field there had been open since the end of June.
The lavender was not yet properly blooming but we did manage to see bees on the lavender that was growing in the raised beds.
Between the rows of lavender there was a strip of wildflowers.
We walked to the bottom of the field past rows of raspberry plants.
And there I spent time with the flowers.
