This was to be my last attempt to gain The CPAGB photographic award from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB)
Ironically my first attempt was exactly five years ago in North Wales with ony with prints.
I have to thank Daphne Hansen of the PAGB for allowing me to switch from prints to PDI for this attempt. Since my original application we had added extra trips and coupled with a failed desktop I had simply run out of time to make a serious effort with prints.
This Awards for Photographic Merit (APM) was organised by my Federations (the SCPF) and was held in Basingstoke. The day of the APM for CPAGB entrants clashed with an already weekend in the Cotswolds. I was at Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm shop when I received a message that I had achieved the required score.
Background to my CPAGB entries
To recap, in order to gain the credit a candidate has to have 200 (or over) votes which is an average of 20+ for the 10 images.
My Nature entries were not subject to the usual definitions defined for international salons. This did mean that they had been edited in Photoshop, Topaz or Lightroom.
Some of the entries have been through many updates since they first appeared in my LRPS panel and then my first attempt in April 2019.
Unlike my earlier CPAGB PDI entries I put the images in the centre of a 1600 by 1200 surround.
