After gaining a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science I worked for computer manufacturers both in the UK and the USA.
Later I took an MBA which then opened up new career paths in marketing and later in consultancy but always with a sprinkling of technology. My later experiences extended from managing a European wide professional consultancy organisation to several venture capital funded startups.
My interests are travelling, technology, music and of course photography (street photography, black and white images, recording street art and photographing planes). All of these interests plus the odd post about social media you will find represented on this website.
We caught COVID in March 2022 while we were visiting the Isle of Wight. The after effects (long COVID?) has meant that concentrating on editing images or even writing travel blogs has been “slow” for quite a while – hopefully during 2026 I will be able to catch up even more!

Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society
In November 2019 I achieved the distinction of Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society.
Credit Award of the PAGB (CPAGB)
In May 2024 I achieved the Credit Award of the PAGB.
International Salons and Exhibitions
During the first COVID lockdowns in 2020 I started to enter photographic salons from around the world. The individual images that gained an Acceptance in these salons can be seen via the top level menu “Acceptances”. Plus I blog a record of each salon entered using the category “Salons and Exhibitions”.

Dedication
These awards are dedicated to my friend and colleague from Bracknell Camera Club – Ron Gaffney LRPS CPAGB PSA(*4) BPE2. In the first year of being a member, I attended a workshop where Ron had laid out how to enter international salons and the importance of record keeping. Over the next years, I joined him entering international salons and we shared our successes as well as lots of mutual encouragement.

Camera Club Activities
To help improve my photography I joined Bracknell Camera Club in 2015. After joining the club committee I was Judge Liaison for one season, which meant booking judges for competitions. I was then Programme Secretary for five more seasons at the club, which meant timetabling the season and booking 16 or 17 speakers for each season. Plus I looked after the club’s social media and was the webmaster for the club.
During the COVID lockdowns, my role as Programme Secretary changed as then I had to rearrange the programmes and find replacement speakers who could use Zoom to present their talks.
Plus I did volunteer to be the Secretary of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation (SCPF) from June ’22 to February ’25
