The first day’s workshop had centered on the Palais Royale and today we would be in the 5th on the Rue Mouffetard. I had been editing late selecting and then editing images for the first day for the afternoon review session.
Day 4: Sunday 25th January 2026: The second day of Valerie’s workshop
I was too early again for Pret and ate in the same restaurant as the day before. I was joined again by the same American lady from the workshop.
Place du Pantheon
We met up in front of the Pantheon and walked around to head towards the Rue Mouffetard. Parked together were British sport cars. Street Photography took a back set for the next 15 minutes.
We stopped opposite Rue Rollin for the others to see where Hemmingway stayed in Paris.

Place de la Contrescarpe

Rue Mouffetard
After our coffee on the square we now had lots of time to walk down and up Rue Mouffetard.

This couple were happy to pose for us…

The small garden at the side of the church has been named after Mis-Tic.

The Sunday dancers
As the dancing started the church was emptying.

Back to the hotel
Then I had to head back to the hotel to pick up my images for the review session in the afternoon. As I reached the school with the art by Seth I went into the gift shop and bought a mug…

Comfort food at Pret for a late lunch.
Review meeting
With our coffees we headed downstairs to review our images for the first day of the workshop. Here is my favourite image from the day.

This is a blog with all the images that I shared.
And here are the Instagram profiles of my workshop colleagues – please do take a look at their images…

Drinks after the review
After the review session we were all reluctant to simply go our separate ways. Instead we walked to a bar just down the street and sat in the covered space outside and had one last long chat together.
Dinner on Rue Mouffetard
I now understand that finding restaurants open on a Sunday evening can be difficult. We headed back to Rue Mouffetard and were early diners at the Breton restaurant there.
I had one more day in Paris and I planned to follow the Seine until I reached the Eiffel Tower.
