This morning I received notification that my application for Photo Travel Documentary Award of Merit Star 1 has been accepted by the PSA.

For this award of merit I had to have received at least 18 acceptances from at least 6 images. From my list of submitted salon acceptances 46 were verified by the PSA.
Bamburgh Castle – 4 acceptances

Dubrovnik Reflections – 2 acceptances

Evening in Molde – 15 acceptances

Busy Charles Bridge – 2 acceptances
Elizabethan Tower – 4 acceptances

Whitby in the Evening – 19 acceptances

Comment on the award
I received confirmation that my application had been accepted in only 3 hours and 50 minutes! I then had to pay $12 for the award on the PSA website.
My submitted salon acceptances were all for the PSA original PTD (Photo Travel Division). This has now been replaced by two Divisions and my acceptances were placed in the PTDD (Photo Travel Documentary Division.)
In the returned spreadsheet I was surprised that I had had 2 acceptances rejected because the exhibition results were not in the PSA database.
Please see my separate post about applying for PSA Merit Awards. (Not available yet)
Dedication
I would like to dedicate this (and all my subsequent PSA awards) to my departed friend and colleague from Bracknell Camera Club – Ron Gaffney. From the very first weeks of joining the club, Ron encouraged my photography of aircraft. In that first year I attended a club workshop where he laid out how to enter international salons and the importance of record keeping. Over the years, I joined him entering international salons and we shared our successes as well as mutual encouragement.
Ron would have been one of the first people that I would have told about this award and sadly his encouragement and support has now to be only a memory.
