On the 17th June I visited the Mayfield Lavender Farm with colleagues form Farnborough Photographic Club. Immediately we realised that we were a little early i the season. Not only were there less than a dozen cars parked but we could only see a handful of other visitors. Plus the Airstream Cafe was not yet open.

Another indication of just how early we were as the lavender was not covered in bees!
At the Airstream these were my selphys…

At the top of the field the lavender gave way to a meadow of flowers and amongst the poppies I found bees.

In the distance from the Mayfield Farm is Croydon.

The Airstream…

The tree close to the Airstream…

Sadly neither the pizza van or the hot dog chalet were open – maybe next visit?
Finally we sat and enjoyed a coffee before leaving.
