We had clear weather for our visit to Halifax and we enjoyed our walk along the boardwalk. The next day we had another clear day on our Atlantic transit to St John’s

Monday 10th October 2022: Saint John, Brunswick
This was our second visit to Saint John and we decided to treat it as a rest day after our hectic days of back to back ports
Sunday 9th October 2022: Bar Harbor, Maine
Bar Harbor was the next port after Boston. We had heard so many good things about Bar Harbor that this was one of the ports that we were really looking forward to visiting
Saturday 8th October 2022: Boston, Massachusetts
After New York we had a busy day in Boston
February 2023: Artic Norway and the Northern Lights: North Sea after Trondheim
After Trondheim we set sail for Alta missing out Tromso, then after some very rough seas the ship turned back and our visit to Alta was cancelled. Mid-afternoon a Norwegian Coastguard helicopter came and picked up an ill passenger.
February 2023: Artic Norway and the Northern Lights: Trondheim
Our next port of call was an unscheduled visit to Trondheim. Saga had added excursions and we visited the cathedral and the fortress for the first time.
Friday 7th October 2022: Newport Rhode Island
After New York our next port of call was Newport RI where we ate at a diner for breakfast and walked around the town
Thursday 6th October 2022: New York and up the East River
On our last day we took the water taxi up the East River to take in the spectacular views. Our evening departure was delayed by the arrival of President Biden in New York.
Wednesday 5th October 2022: New York and Liberty and Ellis Islands
On our second day in New York we visited both Liberty and Ellis islands catching the ferry from Battery Park

After visiting Stump Cross caverns we went to Grassington to explore the village and see the River Wharfe’s Linton Falls
February 2023: Artic Norway and the Northern Lights: Alesund
This visit to Alesund was much earlier in the cruise than originally planned due to the bad weather behind us and ahead of us in the North
Tuesday 4th October 2022: New York
Our extra day in New York started early for me watching Sky Princess pass under the Narrows Bridge and then we had a short day in the city sight seeing in the rain
