Svalbard on Hurtigruten: 26th June 2022 – Woodfjorden, Monaco Glacier, and Liefdefjorden
Today we watched polar bears in the sea, visited a trapper’s hut, saw hundreds of walruses, and were the farthest North that we have ever been
November 2025: Spain and the Canaries: Cadiz, Spain
The first port on our journey North was a wet Cadiz
August 2024: Bordeaux and Portugal: Vigo, Spain
After the rough weather it was great to be in Vigo for walks. Then we had a sea day as we sailed South
November 2025: Spain and the Canaries: Santa Cruz, Tenerife
We had long walks in Tenerife because of where the ship was docked plus an evening of entertainment with Chesney Hawkes
April 2026: Eastern Mediterranean: Southampton and three sea days
We had three sea days on Aurora after Southampton and passed through the Straits of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean
December 2025: Christmas markets: Blankenberge, Belgium
Our second day in Zeebrugge and we went to the seaside in Blankenberge
Svalbard on Hurtigruten: 25th June 2022 – Raudfjorden – Alicehamna
This was the first day that the promised landings didn’t take place. Our one landing was at in Raudfjorden at Alicehamna
November 2025: Spain and the Canaries: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
We walked along the promenade in Las Palmas and did some shopping before admiring the super yacht
February 2026: Northern Lights and Arctic Circle: Portsmouth and two sea days
After leaving Portsmouth for Norway we had a bouncy ride on the North Sea
October 2024: Spain and Portugal: Second day in Lisbon, Portugal
December 2025: Christmas markets: Southampton and then Zeebrugge, Belgium
After Southampton we went to Zeebrugge for two nights and spent a day in Bruges
