It was a lucky accident that I saw the Northern Lights as I was out on deck at just after 10 pm. I was out on deck to watch the passing of Havilla XYZ before MS Nordkapp was scheduled to enter Berlevåg. I just had my iPhone 14 Pro as I planned to just take a couple of images of the Havilla ship.
MS Nordkapp was on the Southern half of the Coastal Voyage having left Kirkenes earlier in the day and had a long stop at Vardø.
There were only a handful of other passengers out on deck as we waited for the Havilla ship.
The Northern Lights
Looking up there they were – the Northern Lights.
After we spotted the Havilla ship, I waited until the Northern Lights were in the sky above.
MS Nordkapp was then entering Berlevåg harbour.
Then the display was over…
