After Gran Canaria Azura docked in Lanzarote and then we had a sea day before Funchal.
Day 4: Monday 6th November 2023: Las Palmas, Lanzarote
We had a leisurely breakfast before leaving the ship and walking into Las Palmas. At the top of the main pedestrian street we stopped for a welcome coffee.
After exploring the shops we walked through to the lagoon.
And we stopped again for drink at a bar alongside the lagoon.
On Azura
We were back on Azura just after 1pm – a short visit to Las Palmas!
Later out on deck we had a fabulous rainbow.
Evening on Azura
After the Peninsular Party we went up to the buffet for The Beach House.
Day 5: Tuesday 7th November 2023: At sea
This was definitely a rest day – with a late start for breakfast in the buffet.
Art talk
In the Malabar at 11 am we went to the art talk. There were quite a few interesting highlights of the talk. Amazing that the Mona Lisa was unknown and not particularly valued until the painting was stolen. The thief eventually treated as a hero back in in Italy!
The evening was a black tie formal evening.
After dinner we headed for the Manhattan club to watch Jack Gleadow, and as well as jokes told the audience with humour about his time in lockdowns.
The next day we would be docking in Funchal, Madeira.
