After Vigo and our sea day we were looking forward to another visit to Bilbao.
Day 8: Wednesday 21st August 2024: Bilbao, Spain
We woke as the ship was doing her final docking manoeuvres at Getxo.
We had breakfast after 9 am then we left for the shuttle bus. We had only a short wait for the next bus to Bilbao.
To Bilbao
Once in Bilbao we were taken on a completely different place alongside the river, the Euskalduna Conference Centre.
From there we walked along the river to the Guggenheim.
Over the bridge into the old town and it was coffee time. Back down at the side of the river we crossed over using the pedestrian bridge.

Back to Getxo
We missed the 1:30 and caught the 2 pm.

Once back onboard we had room service and rested on our balcony.
Evening onboard
It was a warm evening and we ate our dinner on open deck at the stern.
Rather than going to the theatre we watched the show, “Latin Fever” on the cabin’s TV.
Tomorrow I planned to be up early to watch the sail-in up the river to Bordeaux.
