Risøyrenna – 10:10 am
Risøyrenna is a channel between the islands of Andøya and Hinnøya cut into the sandy bank there.
MS Nordkapp was following another ship through the channel.
Risøyhamn – arrive at 10:45 am
Risøyhamn started as a trading post established by the Hurtigruten founder Richard With, the Hurtigruten founder.
After so many hours on the ship I took the opportunity to have a walk on the dock.
We were next out on deck as Nordkapp approached Sortland.
We were joined out deck by members of the Expedition team. The plan was to greet returning passengers who had been exploring the coast on an excursion.
Sortland – arrive at 12:30 pm
Sortland is the largest town in Vesterålen.
Out on deck for the next port we watched the coastline and a passing ferry.
