This was our second day docked in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Yesterday we had been to see Mount Teide in the afternoon. This was the second day that passengers were both leaving and arriving on the ship.
Day 8: Friday 11th November 2023: Santa Cruz de Tenerife
After another leisurely breakfast we left Azura to walk to the shops
and explore more of Santa Cruz.

At 1 pm we stopped in the Plaza Isabel for a sit down and drink.
As we walked through the Fred Olsen terminal back to Azura this couple were silhouetted through the doors.

The house band entertained us around the pool as Azura sailed for our next visit to Funchal.
At 10:30 we into the theatre to watch Azura’s Headliners perform “On the Horizon”. Billed as an eclectic mix mix of song and dance.
Day 9: Saturday 12th November 2023: At sea
We had a very leisurely late breakfast in the Horizon buffet. A morning reading before lunch in one of the restaurants.
Our afternoon started with an art talk “The life and works of L.S. Lowry”. This was a different presentation to the ones we had seen before.
A calm ocean in the afternoon.
The sky did look a little threatening later.
The evening was one of the formal evenings of the cruise and had the Captain’s Gala.
The RKs
In the theatre we watched The RKs for a rousing show when they played rock and roll from the 50s and 60s.
After the sea day our next port would be our second visit to Funchal, Madeira.
