After our lunch in the Bar du Marché we gathered outside. In the afternoon we were heading to the Palais Royale.

The diners outside were in shade or in the sun…

Walking down the Rue Seine I was distracted by the art galleries.

This gallery had Invaders art for sale.

At the arch way that leads to the Quai Conti we stopped to take silhouettes. Instead I walked further down the street and watched people walking past the shadow of a lamppost.
The Pont des Arts
This bridge has become one of my favourite places for street photography. This visit we didn’t have to cope with groups of people hassling us for signatures on non-existent petitions.
Down below groups were using the mirror that was glued to the wall to get selphies.
I had to step out onto the Quai François Mitterrand to get to the steps so that I could go down onto the side of the Seine.

Then back on the bridge.
Palais Royale
After crossing the Quai François Mitterrand we walked through the Louvre and to the Rue Rivoli.

Then we were in the Palais Royale – another place that I have come to really enjoy street photography.

Rue Saint-Honoré
We had a great surprise after we left the Palais Royale, there was a jazz band playing and spontaneous dancing on the pavement.
And back in outside Louvre…

The Seine
Rather than walk alongside the traffic we wen down to Seine to walk back. The sun was low in the sky and we found ourselves in crowds and passing people resting and enjoying the sun.

As we climbed the steps from the Seine to the bridge we passed a group wearing equipment for a virtual reality (VR) guided tour,
Evening
I headed back to the Hotel Design to back up the day’s images ready to be processed later.
We had agreed to meet at the Maison Perchée on Rue Mouffetard for dinner.

After dinner I made my way back to the Hotel Design, had a glass of wine, and started searching through the day’s images to pick out five for review the next day.

The second day of the workshop started again in Place du Pantheon.
