On Sunday 14th June we went to the Cowpie Country Show in Surrey.
The Wall of Death

The Fox family have been touring since the 1920;’s with their vintage Indian Scout motorbikes and 6 meter high vertical wall, it is a show that must be seen to be believed. The noise, the speed and bikes ridden just centimeters from the top of the wall, it is an experience never to be forgotten !
Once I had paid my £5 I climbed the steep stairs to the viewing gallery looking down into the circle of wooden wall that wsas the “Wall of Death”.

First up …

The noise as the bike passed within inches of my face was ear shattering and all I could do was cheer as he roared by.
Next up …
Look at the little boy in the top left corner…

The go kart …
And so close . . .
The last solo rider performed amazing feats around the wall…
No hands
The finale with three riders on the wall at the same time

This was how close the rider came in the finale…

Then we filed down the second stairs into the sunlight still catching our breath.

After all the excitement I walked back to the others for a coffee and a sit down.
