After our last day in the Canaries in Santa Cruz de Tenerife we were now going North back to the UK. The first port on journey North was Cadiz on a Sunday.
Day 9: Friday 16th November 2025: Cadiz, Spain
After breakfast we walked into Cadiz’s narrow streets. This man was feeding the pigeons out of his hands.
Road race around Cadiz

We did not expect to be in the middle of runners in the streets.
We walked out of the streets to the Baluarte de la Candelaria where I had seen images taken by Charlie Waite.
I had to “make do” with an ancient tree and a fisherman. We walked back through the narrow streets onto Calle San Francisco.
Plaza da Mina

We went back to the cafe that we had had a coffee earlier. The food was carried form the restaurant out to the tables in the square.
Then we had rain and we headed back to Iona.

The port area where the ship was docked had some art on one of the buildings.

Keel and Cow
For our evening meal we went to the Keels and Cow. The meals were rather large especially the chicken!
The food was well prepared but there was rather too much – not sure we will eat in this restaurant again.
Our next port was the extra port of Lisbon scheduled to replace our call in Madeira.
